A literacy advocate for all students, staff and community members
My vision statementTeacher librarians are a valuable, integral part of the school community because we build collaborative relationships with our students, staff and community members.
The library is the instructional and socially-relevant hub of the school, offering users a variety of different programs, activities, lessons and resources to increase their understanding of themselves, their world and the possibilities ahead. We support the goals of our school system by providing relevant and rigorous instruction that connects content to curriculum. The librarian and staff always remember that their job is to help patrons successfully achieve appropriate academic and personal goals while teaching them how to be self-directed, independent learners and critical synthesizers of information. The librarian and staff treat everyone fairly, with respect to individual needs and confidentiality. |
My mission statementMy mission is to help students, staff and community members be ethical, effective and efficient managers of information while developing a passion for inquiry, exploration and literacy.
